Bizarre New Twin Peaks Season 3 Teaser Will Make You Hungry-October 2024
Oct 22, 2024 8:39 PM

The third season of cult show Twin Peaks is set to be one of the biggest TV events of 2017, and while we don't have a confirmed broadcast date yet, a new teaser has arrived. It features director and co-creator David Lynch in his role as oddball FBI Regional Bureau Chief Gordon Cole, tucking into one of the show's most famous food items. Check it out below:

This is the third promo for Twin Peaks season 3 to be released in the past couple of months. The first showed composer Angelo Badalamenti performing some of the show's haunting music, while the another featured on-set footage and short interviews with the cast.

A book written by Mark Frost, who created the series with Lynch, was published in October. The Secret History of Twin Peaks reveals many new details about the mystery-shrouded town, and provides some clues as to what fans can expect from the next season.

Earlier this month, Frost spoke about the decision to make a new season after a gap of 25 years. "[It's] not just an exercise in nostalgia, certainly not for us," he told Stuff. "It's an exercise in engaging with one of the most powerful themes in all of art, which is the ruthless passage of time. To engage with a set of characters after this much time has passed is a great opportunity to work with that whole set of concerns and circumstances."

Twin Peaks originally ran for two seasons between 1990 and 1991, with the prequel movie Fire Walk With Me following in 1992.

Disclosure: Showtime is a division of CBS, which is GameSpot's parent company.
