Billy Dee Williams, who played Harvey Dent in Tim Burton's 1989 Batman, will voice Two-Face in the upcoming The Lego Batman Movie, its director has confirmed.

Chris McKay made the announcement on Twitter. A fan said, "Please tell me Billy Dee Williams voices Two-Face?" to which McKay responded, "He does." The director then proceeded to retweet a handful of tweets about the confirmation, including the one below.

According to ComicBook, Williams had a one-movie deal with Warner Bros. for his role as Harvey Dent and wanted to play the character again in Batman Forever. However, that role went to Tommy Lee Jones after Joel Schumacher stepped in as director. Dent's alter ego, Two-Face, didn't appear until Batman Forever, so Williams never had the chance to play the villainous role....until now.

"I really wanted desperately to do obviously Two-Face," he said in a bonus feature clip posted online by TheBatFan. "I was hoping it would segue into that. That's what I wanted to do; I wanted to see what I could do with it. It would have been different than Tommy Lee's; I've got my own kind of madness."

Williams is of course also known for portraying Lando Calrissian in the Star Wars series.

The Lego Batman Movie is a spinoff from 2014's hugely popular The Lego Movie. It is produced by Phil Lord and Chris Miller, who helmed that earlier film, as well as the Jump Street films and the upcoming Star Wars Han Solo movie.

Bruce Wayne is played once more by Arrested Development star Will Arnett. The film also features Michael Cera as Robin, Rosario Dawson as Batgirl, Ralph Fiennes as Alfred, and Zach Galifianakis as The Joker.

The Lego Batman Movie hits theaters on February 10, 2017. A sequel to The Lego Movie is also in production, but that won't arrive until February 2019.
