If you've listened to Billie Eilish, chances are you've heard her Grammy award-winning song, Bad Guy. It headlines her debut studio album (which has also won multiple awards), but you might be surprised to hear that it also contains a hidden connection to EA's Plants vs. Zombies series.
Particularly the game's theme song, which Eilish and her brother/producer Finneas reference in a breakdown of the song as the sample for one of the main riffs in Bad Guy's chorus. It's almost unrecognizable when combined with the track's thumping base and other accompanying samples, but if you listen to the original theme and slightly speed it up, it's unmistakable.
Eilish and Finneas also make reference to the Disney's Wizards of Waverly Place, which sounds almost identical too when focused on. The entire video is a thoroughly insightful look into the art of music production, and just how much goes into individual facets of a song that you won't immediately notice, but will definitely miss when gone.
Billie Eilish was recently announced as the artist behind the theme song for the latest James Bond film, No Time To Die. It makes her the youngest artist ever to compose a theme for the franchise.
