Those much-loved metalheads Bill S. Preston Esq and Ted "Theodore" Logan return to the screen this summer in Bill & Ted Face The Music. It's been nearly 30 years since we last saw Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter in the roles, and it's one of the year's most anticipated films. A new image has now been released.

　　The picture shows Bill and Ted dressed a bit more smartly than we're used to seeing them, in suits and bowties at some kind at some kind of outdoor event. They also look very happy to see someone. We'll have to wait until August to find out who--in the meantime, here's the image:

　　This picture follows the film's poster, which was released earlier this month. And while we've yet to see a trailer or any footage, Winter did appear as both the young and older version of Bill in Walmart's recent Super Bowl commercial.

　　Bill & Ted Face the Music features a number of actors from 1989's original Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure and its 1991 sequel, Bogus Journey, such as William Sadler as Death, Hal Landon Jr. as Ted's dad Chief Logan, and Amy Stoch as Ted's stepmom Missy. The new cast includes Samara Weaving and Brigette Lundy-Paine as Bill and Ted's daughters and Barry star Anthony Carrigan as the film's main villain. It's directed by Galaxy Quest's Dean Parisot, and written by franchise creators Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon.

　　In a new interview with Empire, Parisot suggested that much of the new movie might take place in real-time. "We've gone from a homework assignment to saving all space and time. We bypassed all those possible traumas in the middle," he said. "They have an hour and 18 minutes. So they're in trouble. And let's say that they have to travel all over the place to try and figure it out."
