Australia-based game development studio Micro Forte has launched a Web site for its online game engine, BigWorld. The site includes an overview of the BigWorld engine's advanced features and capabilities, as well as a list of frequently asked questions and information about licensing.
As an example of what can be done with the game engine, the site also contains new screenshots from Micro Forte's upcoming massively multiplayer action game, Citizen Zero. The new screenshots show off some of the character models and 3D environments that will be featured in the futuristic game. Players will choose to play as one of four character races, all of which have different appearances, skills, and attributes. Characters develop additional skills and abilities by completing missions that include both short-term assignments in and around the city and town areas and long-term assignments that require the exploration of the outdoor wilderness areas. Players will be able to accept missions both in cooperative groups or alone.
For more information, take a look at our previous coverage of the game and visit the new BigWorld Web site. Citizen Zero is scheduled for release in mid-2002.
