In the past few days, Bethesda revealed that there's more in the works outside what has been shown during the publisher's E3 2016 press conference. Not much has been said about these projects, but Pete Hines recently revealed the scope of these projects.
Speaking to IGN about the two projects that have been teased by Todd Howard earlier this week, Pete Hines revealed that these projects are real games, and not DLC packs, games that are as big as Skyrim, Fallout 4 and Fallout 3.
He (Todd Howard) said for sure that he’s got two other projects. I’m just making sure folks understand, like, that doesn’t mean he’s going to spit out a DLC and another DLC and we’re head faking. Like, I need folks to understand that we’re talking about big games like a Skyrim and a Fallout 4 and a Fallout 3 and those don’t just happen.
With these two big projects currently in the works, there's very little chance that The Elder Scrolls VI will be released in the near future. Pete Hines hinted that these two projects will be coming before the new entry of the popular role playing game series.
During its E3 2016 conference, Bethesda revealed, among other things, a new version of the popular Skyrim, called The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition, which will come with several enhancements. It's also been confirmed that all mods developed for the original version of Skyrim will be compatible with the Special Edition. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition will release on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on October 28th.
