Australia's Beam International Ltd. has signed an agreement with GT Interactive that lets GT sell and distribute Beam's Melbourne House PC and console software titles throughout North America.
The agreement falls under GT's "affiliated label" program, under which GT "sells, distributes, and offers marketing consulting services" for companies. GT previously signed affiliated label agreements with Empire Interactive and Palladium Interactive.
Under the agreement with Beam International, GT will distribute Beam's KKND2: Krossfire - a sequel to the real-time strategy game KKND - and car-racing game DethKarz in North America. KKND2: Krossfire for the PC has a projected September 1998 release date; DethKarz is supposed to be released for the PC in November and for the Nintendo 64 system next fall.
