Kesmai has announced that it has registered 10,000 testers for its upcoming massively multiplayer futuristic strategy war title, MultiPlayer BattleTech: 3025. But those gamers will have to wait until early next year to begin testing. The game puts players in massive Mechs in the 31st century to battle for domination of the 2,000 worlds of the Inner Sphere. As a warrior in one of the five Great Houses battling for control, players start out as novices and work their way through the ranks as they take down opponents and gain experience.
As part of getting more gamers interested in the game, Kesmai's online gaming service, GameStorm, will be hosting a live chat on December 12 at 9pm EST. During the chat, gamers will get to ask the game's makers about the game and what they'll see when it is complete.
The complete game will release later next year, and it is expected to support upward of 50,000 players. Considering EA will probably have acquired Kesmai from News Corp by next year, the title could get additional marketing and design support from the big publisher.
