Interactive Magic has shipped the Great Battles Collector's Edition, which bundles together The Great Battles of Alexander, the Great Battles of Hannibal, and the Great Battles of Caesar titles. The collection also includes improved graphics and three new skirmishes - one for each game. Those battles are: The Battle of Paraitacene (317 BC) where Eumenes, Alexander's military heir, leads the troops into battle against Antigonus; The Battle Dertosa (215 BC) in which the Romans attempt to prevent Hasibrul from bringing reinforcements to his brother Hannibal in Italy; and Caesar's Battle at the Rhine (58 BC) against Ariovistus.
A scenario editor, which will allow players to create their own battles, is another bonus feature. Players are able to set any of the three leaders against any other leader using that editor.
Interactive Magic is offering the collection at a reduced rate to owners of any or all of the single Great Battles titles. Owners of one of the titles can upgrade to the Collector's Edition for US$24.95, owners of two of the games can upgrade for $19.95, and owners of all three titles can upgrade for $14.95.
