Electronic Arts today released a patch for the multiplayer PC shooter Battlefield Vietnam, which is available for download through GameSpot DLX. The rather substantial v1.1 update adds a new map called Defense of Con Thien. Set in the demilitarized zone (DMZ) between the north and south, the map includes three new "vehicles": an OH-6 Loach scout helicopter for the Marines, a Ka-25 "Hormone" attack helicopter for the NVA, and stationary M60 gun emplacements. The patch also updates the interface, adds server options, and fixes a large number of bug and game balance issues. For a full list of changes, check out the download page.
