EA DICE’s upcoming new Battlefield installment, Battlefield V, might very well supports NVIDIA’s new RTX Ray Tracing technology.

At least, that’s what the results from a console command in the game’s alpha version suggests. German website PCGamesHardware recently typed in the “Render.DrawScreenInfo 1” console command which displays all of the game’s technical rendering details, and the result looks promising. We’ve included a screenshot of this result (courtesy of PCGamesHardware) down below:

EA DICE hasn’t officially confirmed whether Battlefield V will support NVIDIA’s new real-time, cinematic quality, rendering technique, but as always, we will keep you updated.

NVIDIA announced its new RTX Ray Tracing tech back during this year's GDC event.

Now, we’re ready to deliver a generational leap in image quality in games, with NVIDIA RTX Technology" Powered by film-quality algorithms and new GameWorks SDK modules, RTX will enable developers to ray trace ambient occlusion effects, area shadows and glossy reflections in their games and engines. In other words, developers can create realistic, film-quality, physically-accurate scenes with lighting, shadows and reflections that capture the scene around them and account for every variable, immersing you in rich, detailed worlds that feature a level of fidelity you could previously only dream of.

Battlefield V will release for PC, Xbox One and Playstation 4 on October 11. Back in May of this year, NVIDIA already announced that Battlefield V will be best played on NVIDIA GPUs.

"As the PC platform, we’re helping the Battlefield V development team create the definitive PC experience", NVIDIA wrote.

"NVIDIA engineers are working with the Battlefield V developers at DICE to bring the best aspects of the GeForce gaming platform to bear for PC gamers, meaning GeForce Experience will deliver Game Ready drivers, Optimal Playable settings, and other NVIDIA-platform features for Battlefield V. In addition, we are working on integrating cutting-edge technologies, optimizing performance, and creating the definitive PC experience."
