Battlefield V Final Requirements Out – Recommended CPUs for RTX Are Ryzen 7 2700 & i7 8700-November 2024
Nov 15, 2024 11:27 AM

DICE shared the official Battlefield V system requirements for PC. The requirements for normal gameplay are quite similar to the ones we've already seen for the Alpha test.

However, the big news is that DICE finally provided the recommended requirements for the raytraced version of Battlefield V, powered by NVIDIA's RTX and Microsoft's DXR API.

These requirements are much heftier. The developers recommend either an AMD Ryzen 7 2700 or Intel Core i7 8700 CPU, as well as 16GB of RAM (instead of 12 for normal gameplay).

Battlefield V is expected to be the first commercial game to support the NVIDIA RTX technology included in the latest GeForce RTX graphics cards. DICE has focused on raytraced reflections, which can also have a gameplay implication.

These new reflections, made possible by GeForce RTX graphics cards and the NVIDIA RTX Platform, overcome the limitations of traditional Screen Space Reflection techniques, enabling full-detail reflections that mirror the action happening in and around the player’s field of view. As you’ll see, they have a tremendous impact on fidelity and immersion, heightening realism and the intensity of events, as now even the surrounding chaos is visible, making players feel as though the battle is unfolding in a full 360 degrees around them.

Battlefield V is out on November 20th. However, it will be fully playable by Origin Access Premier subscribers on PC starting November 9th, while Origin Access Basic subscribers on PC and EA Access subscribers on Xbox One will have the chance to play a ten-hour trial ahead of the full launch. Customers who've purchased the Deluxe Edition can start playing on November 15th.
