In preparation for the release of the Battlefield 1942 multiplayer demo at 12:00 PM PST on Friday, August 16, EA has released the server files that will let players host their own multiplayer games. GameSpot Complete members can download the server files from the link below. Battlefield 1942 will be a multiplayer-focused team-based shooter that takes place in World War II, and will let players play as infantry soldiers who can jump into and pilot lots of different vehicles, including jeeps, tanks, fighter planes, and even battleships. The demo will include a single multiplayer map that takes place on Wake Island in Japan. GameSpot Complete members will be able to download the file for free on our high-speed connection 12:00 on Friday from sign up now to download the file at 12:00 PM on Friday for free using our Download Manager software.
