Before the release of Batman Arkham Knight, the latest entry of the series by Rocksteady, many thought that the team was done with the series. Luckily, PlayStation 4 owners will be able to enjoy yet another game starring the Dark Knight in the near future, if they are also planning to purchase the PlayStation VR headset.
During Sony E3 2016 press conference, it's been confirmed that a new entry of the series, called Batman Arkham VR, will be released this October exclusively for PlayStation VR. The game will deliver a more immersive experience than anyone could have imagined, allowing players to finally become Batman and explore some of the most iconic locations of the Batman universe.
One of the things that Arkham fans have been asking for is the opportunity to explore some of the most iconic locations in Batman’s universe such as Wayne Manor and the Batcave. For the first time in a Rocksteady Arkham story, Batman: Arkham VR offers players the chance to do exactly that – to feel that unique sense of presence in these legendary locations through virtual reality. If you’ve ever wondered how it would feel to be Bruce Wayne surrounded by the finery of Wayne Manor, then descend into the Batcave to put on the iconic Batsuit, you’ll know why we’re so excited about putting the game in players’ hands.
Due to its VR oriented nature, Batman Arkham VR will surely be much different from the rest of the series, but we're sure fans of the iconic hero won't complain, as they will finally have the chance to see Gotham City through the eyes of the very hero who has protected the city so many times.
Batman Arkham Knight VR launches this October exclusively for PlayStation VR. The game is being showcased at the E3 this week, so more details will surely be coming in very soon.
