Warner Bros. Interactive announced the delay of Batman: Arkham Trilogy on Nintendo Switch. Previously announced for an October 13th launch, the collection will now debut on December 1st. The official tweet says:
More time is needed to bring players the best possible experience on Nintendo Switch. We apologize to fans who are excited to play this version of the trilogy. Thank you for your patience.
Batman: Arkham Trilogy includes the critically acclaimed and best-selling trilogy of Batman: Arkham games released by Rocksteady: 2009's Batman: Arkham Asylum, 2011's Batman: Arkham City, and 2015's Batman: Arkham Knight. It does not include 2013's prequel game, Batman: Arkham Origins, which Warner Bros. Montréal developed.
However, all the respective DLCs will be included. Batman: Arkham Asylum has the Insane Night and Prey in the Darkness packs, which add two combat maps and two stealth challenge maps; Batman: Arkham City features the Catwoman, Nightwing, Robin, Challenge Map, and Arkham City skins packs as well as the story-based Harley Quinn’s Revenge expansion; Batman: Arkham Knight comes with The Season of Infamy missions and several Batman: Arkham episodes including A Matter of Family (Batgirl), GCPD Lockdown (Nightwing), A Flip of a Coin (Robin), Catwoman's Revenge, and the Harley Quinn and Red Hood story packs.
Overall, Batman: Arkham Trilogy (developed by Turn Me Up Games) for Nintendo Switch is a package worth nearly 80 hours of gameplay when you factor in the main missions and side content.
Fans eagerly await the next game set in the Batman: Arkham world. Rocksteady has been cooking Suicide: Kill the Justice League for a very long time, but the February 2, 2024 release date isn't that far any longer. We may hear more about it in the next couple of months unless there's another delay in store.
