Bandai Namco is one of the third party Japanese publishers that has been supporting the Nintendo Switch these first few months since the console's release, and it seems like support is even going to increase in the future.

　　Bandai Namco President Mitsuaki Taguchi has confirmed that the Nintendo Switch's quick success surprised the publisher and that the 3 titles released so far are doing well. As such, the publisher is going to increase resources for the development of Nintendo Switch titles. Additionally, Taguchi confirmed that all of Bandai's properties could see products made available for the Switch.

　　Bandai Namco isn't the only Japanese publisher that's been reaping success with its Switch titles. In yesterday's financial report, Capcom also confirmed that Monster Hunter XX and Ultra Street Fighter II have been performing strongly on the market.

　　Nintendo itself is aiming high with the Switch. According to the company's latest financial report, the new console may reach the Wii level of sales.

The above shows an overlay of sell-through figures together with Wii and Wii U data for the first years after release. While Wii and Wii U were released during the holiday season, it’s important to note that the Nintendo Switch launch was timed completely differently, in March. It now looks like holiday season sales for Nintendo Switch could catch up to the Wii figures.
