Baldur's Gate 3 patch 3 will be released next week on September 21 with full Mac support, Larian Studios has confirmed.
Some weeks ago, the Belgian studio released the game's 2nd major patch, improving the game's performance and more. Fast forward two weeks and Larian has confirmed that the third update will be released next week. Patch notes haven't been shared yet, but it will likely include numerous fixes and improvements alongside the above-mentioned support for Mac. Technically, the hot cRPG is already available on Mac, but this version is based on an early-access version which doesn't include all of the content included with the PC and PS5 versions. As such, this news will be welcomed by those wanting to enjoy this GOTY contender on Mac.
We'll update you as soon as more information about Baldur's Gate patch 3 comes in. For now, stay tuned.
Baldur's Gate 3 is available globally digitally now for PC and PlayStation 5. The game is also coming to Xbox Series X|S later this year. Here's what we wrote about Larian's gem in our launch review:
"Any RPG wouldn't be engaging without a solid cast of characters, and Baldur's Gate 3 definitely delivers on this front", we wrote. : The main cast is well-developed, and party bantering does a great job of fleshing out their personalities. Their personal stories are extremely interesting as well, although they feel a little samey when they join your party, as most of them seem to be looking for revenge against those who have wronged them in some way. The game's great story and characters are powered by writing that feels spot-on right from the start, with a good balance between serious and dramatic moments and humorous situations which helps make them memorable. Other NPCs are just as interesting, and their struggles only manage to feel the world feel more alive than in most other games."
