Australians still haven't been told exactly when in March the PlayStation 3 is set to launch, but at least local gamers are beginning to get a firm idea of exactly what games can be expected. Sony Computer Entertainment Australia has now confirmed that five of its games will be there from the PS3's first day of sale, bringing the expected number of launch games to 17.
In a statement, the company confirmed that Formula One Championship Edition, MotorStorm, Genji: Days of the Blade, Resistance: Fall of Man, and Ridge Racer 7 would all be PS3 launch titles in Australia. No further details--such as a more specific launch date for the new console--were mentioned.
The Sony games join an expanding list of expected launch titles from other publishers, including Virtua Fighter 5 from Sega and Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 from Ubisoft.
