Final Fantasy XII is the best-selling game Down Under for the second week in a row, with the latest instalment in one of gaming's most popular role-playing franchises holding off the newest Sims 2 add-on in the latest sales charts.
Final Fantasy XII has enjoyed a strong run in the overall Australian game sales charts since its local release on February 22 and was good enough to keep The Sims 2: Seasons out of first place in the charts for the week of February 26 to March 4. Xbox 360 action game Crackdown slipped to fourth place this week after debuting at second in the previous week's chart, according to data trackers GfK Australia. PC strategy game Supreme Commander experienced a similar fate--the game slipped to seventh spot this week after debuting strongly in third position the week previously.
World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade--which had dominated the Aussie charts since the start of the year--was at fifth this week, with the original World of Warcraft slipping out of the top 10 completely.
