Wednesday saw the the second episode of Warner Bros. Interactive's Watchmen: The End is Nigh Part II arrive on Xbox Live Arcade. This time around Nite Owl and Rorschach are on the hunt for a missing girl by the name of Violet Greene. Just like the first part, Watchmen is a beat-'em-up based off the hugely successful graphic novel. Watchmen: The End is Nigh Part II is out now on XBLA for 1200 Microsoft points and will be coming to the PlayStation Network shortly.
The second game to come out on XBLA this week was Invincible Tiger: The Legend of Han Tao hit the service for 1200 Microsoft points. You play as a kung-fu master who is out to defeat a zealous overlord and retrieve a powerful artefact from the Overlord's forces. You'll also be able to take the game online and play co-op amongst friends, play a hoard-esque mode against endless waves of enemies, and race to beat each level before the clock ends.
On the WiiWare front, for 800 Nintendo Points, Texas Hold'Em Poker allows you to play against the computer or up to five friends in a game of, strangely enough, Texas Hold'Em Poker. Three game modes and variable difficulty levels allow anyone to play in a simulated poker tournament, from expert to complete poker novice, and the ability to use your Mii in the game allows for you to really put on your poker face. Mr Driller W also came out this week, being a colourful rehash of the 10-year-old video game classic. Mr Driller W is a 2D puzzle game where you attempt to reach the bottom of the level, drilling through endless coloured blocks while avoiding traps and falling blocks, whilst also managing your limited supplies of air and time. Mr Driller W is downloadable now for 600 Nintendo points.
Following up to 2003's low-budget title of the same name, Smash Cars returns this time in the form of a PlayStation Network Store title and will cost you A$23.95. Players race remote controller cars around various tracks and must compete with the moving obstacles like pets and humans while driving around. The other game to come out on the PSN this week was Battle Tanks , which brings the Atari 2600 game into the 21st century, by updating the graphics and adding in online play. Battle Tanks is available now for A$15.95
Downloadable content to come out on the PSN this week includes the usual assortment of Rock Band songs, some new stickers for Little Big Planet, and the new expansion pack for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed called Tatooine mission pack. As the name suggests, the new content is set on Tatooine with Starkiller on the hunt for Obi-Wan Kenobi.
