It's been a while since Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network Store releases have doubled up, but this week is another rare occasion when the moons have aligned and it's happened with OutRun Online Arcade. Borrowing heavily from Outrun 2006: Coast 2 Coast, OOA features 10 different Ferraris for you to burn rubber with as you race across 15 different courses. Just in case you didn't guess from the game's name, you'll also be able to race six other players online. OutRun Online Arcade is out for A$15.95 ($11.50) on the PSN or 800 Microsoft Points on XBLA.

It's fairly quiet on the downloadable content front this week, with the usual weekly Rock Band and Guitar Hero World Tour releases taking up the majority of the new release spots. To see the full list of PSN and Xbox 360 titles, check out the list below:

  PixelJunk Eden Encore A$4.95 ($3.56)

Midnight Club: Los Angeles South Central Vehicle Pack A$4.95 ($3.56)/240 Microsoft Points

Magic Ball Booster Pack A$4.95 ($3.56)

F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin Multiplayer Map Pack - FREE

Valkyria Chronicles Hard EX Mode A$6.95 ($5)

  Valkyria Chronicles Selveria's Mission A$6.95 ($5)

  Valkyria Chronicles Edy's Mission A$6.95 ($5)

Little Big Planet Monkey King Costume - FREE

Rock Band: Guns N' Roses: Chinese Democracy, Better, Street of Dreams, If the World, There was a Time, Catcher in the Rye, Scraped, Riad m' the Bedouins, Sorry, I.R.S., Madagascar, This I Love, Prostitute all A$2.45 ($1.76)/160 Microsoft Ponts each, or A$23.95 ($17.23)/1600 Microsoft Points for the entire Chinese Democracy album. Excludes Shackler's Revenge, which was included in Rock Band 2.

Guitar Hero World Tour: Bodhisattua, Black Friday, and Kid Charlemagne by Steely Dan, as well as New Slang by the Shins. Tracks cost A$3.45 ($2.49) each, or A$9.95 ($7.17) for the three Steely Dan songs.

Three new games came out on Virtual Console and DSiWare this week, with Rambo leading the charge. Secret Mission, or Rambo: First Blood II as it was known in some parts of the world, is an old school shooter, which arms you to the teeth with weapons and sends you on an 8-bit mission to rescue your friends trapped behind enemy lines. The second Virtual Console game brings another Alex Kidd game to the service, in the form of Alex Kidd: The Lost Stars. Like previous games in the franchise, The Lost Stars is classic side-scrolling platforming action, which sees you guide Alex Kid on a mission to search for the 12 signs of the Zodiac.

Finally, Mixed Messages makes its way onto the DSi via DSiWare. The only way to describe Mixed Messages would be to say it's like Pictionary meets Chinese Whispers. Basically someone writes a sentence, and then passes it on to the next player. The second player then has to draw the first players sentence and pass it on to the third player, who tries to write out a sentence describing the picture and so the vicious cycle of lies continues. All three games are available now for 500 Nintendo Points.
