Aussie bargains September 9
Aussie bargains September 9-October 2024
Oct 18, 2024 2:22 PM

The latter part of the year is always a blessing and a curse. It's a blessing in that there's a regular flow of great games arriving, but it's bad because it'll beat your wallet harder than an Ivy Bar bouncer. This week is a classic example of how expensive it can be to buy new games as they're being released. The last few days have seen the arrival of Resistance 3, Dead Island, and Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine, which at Australian retail pricing could set you back upwards of A$300!

Thankfully, though, the Aussie dollar is still flying high, and if you turn to the Internet, you can save anywhere from 10 to 40 per cent on new games. If you do decide to purchase games online, don't expect Australian boxed copies. Most are from the US or Asia, but aside from the box art, they're identical. If you take a look below, you can find just a few places to order this week's big titles.
