Atlus Shows Off New Titles
Atlus Shows Off New Titles-November 2024
Nov 23, 2024 4:06 AM

TOKYO - Atlus had seven titles on display at the Tokyo Game Show. On the PlayStation front, the spotlight title was the company's action RPG, Thousand Arms. While opening animations and battles looked great, the navigation felt a little strange from the "normal" way the screen scrolls and moves. With a 2D battle system and a 3D world to navigate around, it's an interesting mix. Thousand Arms will be released December 17 in Japan for 6,800 yen.

Atlus also had was showing a PlayStation version of Snobow Kids (known as Snowboard Kids on the N64 in the US). Called Snobow Kids Plus, the game looks very early, although it's scheduled for winter release. Compared with the N64 original, Snobow Kids Plus looks really bad. The textures were blocky and just don't seem to work graphically as well as the Nintendo 64 version.

Speaking of Snobow Kids, Atlus showed off an N64 sequel called Cho Snobow Kids. The game has even more strange snowboarding tracks. It will retain its four-player mode, is Rumble Pak compatible, and will be released this winter in Japan for 6,800 yen.

Atlus showed a few other miscellaneous titles including Hamster Paradise for the Game Boy Color (a virtual hamster-raising game), Advan Racing for the PlayStation, and Puri Kura Pocket 3 for Game Boy.
