ATI has announced a reduction in the list price of its two Radeon graphics cards, dropping the Radeon 64MB graphics card to US$199 and the Radeon 32MB DDR graphics card to $149. The move does not affect the price of the All-in-Wonder Radeon, which has additional multimedia features.
The price cut comes as ATI and Nvidia face off as the only major players left in the performance graphics card market. While the Radeon and cards based on Nvidia's GeForce2 GTS started out in the $300 range last year, the 32MB Radeon is now in the sub-$150 range of Nvidia's value offering, the GeForce2 MX.
