The Assassin’s Creed Origins install size has been revealed, and it’s a tad bigger than its 2015 prequel, AC: Syndicate.
According to Microsoft’s Xbox marketplace, Origins clocks in at 42.3GB on Xbox One. A little bit larger than AC Syndicate which required 40.27GB of free space on Microsoft’s console. As said, this size applies to the base Xbox One version, and its likely that those playing the game on the upcoming Xbox One X will be presented with a larger install size due to its 4K assets.
Over the past years, game file sizes have increased multifold, and with the addition of native 4K games on the Xbox One X, sizes are expected to grow even further. Microsoft has already said that it’s looking for a solution to shrink the required HDD space for Xbox One X games by making use of the cloud – Microsoft’s Intelligent Delivery System.
Assassin’s Creed Origins is slated for a release on Xbox One, PS4, and PC later this month on October 27th.
