Ubisoft has confirmed that an Assassin's Creed Mirage New Game + mode will be added to the game next month through a free update.
As said, a highly-demanded new mode will be added this December with more details about the mode to be shared shortly. In addition to the New Game + mode for Mirage, next month's free update will also include a Permadeath mode for those who want to spice things up with Baghdad.
The news was announced through the official Assassin's Creed X account (formerly Twitter) overnight. "We hear you: New Game + mode for Assassin’s Creed Mirage will be available in a free update this December", the post on X from Ubisoft reads. "And for the expert Assassins, along with NG+ will come an optional permadeath mode also available across all difficulties!"
We'll update you as soon as more information about this free new update for the game comes in.
Assassin's Creed Mirage is available globally now for PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One. The title was released last month and has since received several patches, including a patch that allows players to enable/disable Chromatic Aberration. Here's what we wrote about the latest Assassin's Creed entry in our launch review:
"As in the past, the gameplay of Assassin’s Creed Mirage is built around three core pillars -- parkour, stealth, and combat – with mixed results. When you find that perfect flow, parkour can feel great with Ubisoft adding some new elements, like poles you can use to vault across wide gaps. That said, issues that have long plagued this series continue to crop up – you’ll find yourself climbing up things you don’t want to climb or, alternatively, not being able to climb things you do want to. These clunky moments can be frustrating, particularly when you have a large group of angry soldiers hot on your heels."
