Well, that headline is very telling. It's likely that the next installment in the Assassin's Creed series, Assassin's Creed: Mirage, has been delayed internally with an upcoming reveal of new information coming during Ubisoft forward this year. This information was revealed by the leaker that essentially revealed the existence of Mirage before anyone else knew about it, so there's some weight behind it, at least.
As for The Crew Motorfest (dubbed as Project Orlando, for those curious)? Yeah, it's also likely that the game has been delayed. At least, that's according to information submitted by Ubisoft leaker ScriptLeaksR6. The leaker also confirmed that Assassin's Creed Mirage will still run on the same engine that ran Assassin's Creed Valhalla. The leaker stated that the game is based on a 2019 version of the engine. Mirage is stated to be released in Q2 2024. You can see the statements below:

The good news, at least, is that Ubisoft will still be focused on releasing Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora this year. As such, there are no plans to delay this particular game compared to the others in Ubisoft's upcoming games catalog. More information regarding this project (alongside Mirage) will be revealed during the next edition of Ubisoft Forward. So, make sure to stay on the lookout for new details regarding the show soon.
Yesterday, the leaker also claimed that pre-orders for Frontiers of Pandora may be opening up soon alongside the fact that the game will be exclusively played in first-person view. Of course, we also still have some hope remaining for Assassin's Creed Mirage, as a new report stated that the game is slated to release at some point this year. However, we won't know which of these reports is true until Ubisoft officially steps up and talks about the current state of affairs with the upcoming title.
Assassin's Creed Mirage was unveiled following a long streak of rumors around it. It's been claimed by Ubisoft that the game will be a return to form of sorts as the game will be a shorter, more narrative-driven experience compared to other games in the series. Mirage will mark the return to a large-scale urban environment in which players can leap across rooftops, scale tall towers, and flee guards while putting their parkour skills to the test. The game will be released on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
As always, we ask our readers to take all of this information with a grain of salt as it is still a rumor and wait for official confirmation from Ubisoft, be it from the next Ubisoft Forward or any other form of information.
