Ezio is headed to Rome for his next stealth action adventure, but gamers won't have to travel as far to try out Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. Ubisoft and GameStop today announced that those who preorder the game for PlayStation 3 at the retailer will earn access to an assassination-themed multiplayer beta.

　　Ubisoft says that the beta--which hits September 13--will give gamers a first look and feel for the game's new multiplayer component. It will also act as a final "stress test" on Ubisoft's servers. The killing starts on PS3 September 13.

　　Additionally, the publisher says there are only a "limited number of beta slots" available and tokens will be handed out on a first-come first-served basis. Further, those who have already preordered Brotherhood can bring their receipts to GameStop beginning August 9 to exchange for a beta token.

　　Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood is due out November 16 in North America and is the first title in the stealth-killing series to include a multiplayer component.
