Bethesda and Arkane shared the first brief look at Prey gameplay during QuakeCon 2016, but now we're expecting to see a lot more considering that the game is scheduled to release next year on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Powered by CRYENGINE, Arkane's Prey has very little, if anything, to do with the previous games in development at Human Head Studios. This caused an uproar among fans of the IP, to which Bethesda’s VP of PR and Marketing Pete Hines replied that as long as the title being developed at Arkane turns out to be great no one will talk about the canceled Prey 2 anymore.

He does have a point and considering that Arkane just scored another hit with Dishonored 2, the chances of their version of Prey turning out great seem solid. The game runs on an alternate timeline where Kennedy was never assassinated and decided over the course of his presidency to increase funding for the space program. As a result, in 2032 main character Morgan Yu (who can be either male or female, depending on the player's choice) is working on Talos I, a space station that's orbiting around the moon.

He/she is the subject of several experiments meant to improve the human race, but all of a sudden the station is overrun by a race of hostile aliens known as Typhon. Other key differences in comparison to Dishonored are the psychological aspect and the open-ended nature of the map.

As for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, last week's latest rumor indicates that it will not be a part of the Switch's launch line-up. The new 3D Mario game should take its place, with Zelda being delayed to June 2017.

Tune live to The Game Awards 2016 in just a couple days to see new Prey gameplay, an exclusive look at The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and much more. You can choose between Twitch, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and your favorite console for the live stream.
