Ark Survival Evolved Patch Xbox One Aims To Boost Framerate; PC Content & MP Splitscreen-October 2024
Oct 18, 2024 1:20 PM

An upcoming Ark Survival Evolved Patch for the Xbox One, aims to improve the game’s framerate. Additionally, the patch will bring PC content up to version 233 to the Xbox One, and will also feature multiplayer splitscreen.

According developer Studio Wildcard, the patch (version 732.0) is anticipated to release somewhere around February 10,2016. The developer revealed the contents of the upcoming Xbox One patch via Twitter.

More patch notes will follow, according the developer.

Powered by Unreal Engine 4, ARK: Survival Evolved takes on the survival genre with a unique blend of emergent multiplayer cooperation and competition. Players awake naked and starving on the beach of a mysterious island among a herd of other confused humans. On ARK, they must then hunt, harvest, craft, research technology, and build shelters to protect against scorching days, freezing nights, volatile weather systems, dangerous wildlife, and potential enemies.

“ARK taps into the scale, size, and wildly unpredictable nature of the dinosaur eras like no other game before it, then pairs it with the wonders of exploration and technological discovery,” said Jesse Rapczak, co-founder and co-creative director, Studio Wildcard.

At the moment of writing, Survival Evolved is available to PC and Xbox One players via early access.  A full release of the game is scheduled for all platforms within 7 months. PC players have been able to enjoy an early release of Ark since June of this year.

Until the game’s final release, fans can expect community feedback to be integrated into the Xbox One version of the game with regular updates about every two weeks. “This will eventually include highly-demanded features like split screen support, gamepad customization, UI improvements, tweaks to current game modes, balancing improvements and all the new content that is going into the PC version. That’s awesome considering there is already three times as much content in the game today compared to the PC launch 7 months ago”, said Rapczak, last month.
