Chicago Rush's Bob McMillen, if you didn't know.
Football game news came out of Electronic Arts today, but did not involve either of its one-two-punch combinations of Madden NFL or NCAA Football franchises. Instead, the news detailed the latest for one of EA's other football series, Arena Football.
The next game in the series--Arena Football: Road to Glory--was announced today and should be in stores on February 27. Unlike the debut edition of the franchise, Road to Glory will be exclusive to the PlayStation 2. (EA Sports Arena Football was released on both the PS2 and Xbox in early February.)
In addition, Sony also revealed that Arena Football League star and Chicago Rush fullback/linebacker Bob McMillen will be featured as the game's cover athelete. McMillen is the league's all-time leading rusher with over 1,400 yards on the ground and has been on the winning ArenaBowl team three times.
New to this year's addition is a roster of more than 40 teams, including all the AFL teams and teams from the AFL's developmental league, the af2. In addition, in-game players can start their long road to professional football by graduating from the af2 and entering the AFL.
Arena Football: Road to Glory has not yet been priced or rated.
