The writer of the upcoming Aquaman film starring Jason Momoa has teased that the movie is going to be "really fun." He added that it's going to "blow people's minds" with its story and visual effects.
Jason Momoa as Aquaman in Justice League"It's going to be fun; it's going to be really fun," Will Beall told Collider. "What we've come up with and [director James Wan] especially--he has a really clear idea of the tone he's going to have, and I think Aquaman is one that's going to blow people's minds.
"Not just visually, but I think the story and the scope of it is really great."
Aquaman arrives in theaters in fall 2018, so it's still a long time off. In addition to Momoa, Amber Heard will play Mera, the Queen of the Sea, while Patrick Wilson will play Aquaman's evil half brother Orm Marius AKA Ocean Master.
Also in Colldier's interview, Beall spoke briefly about the early draft he wrote for another DC Movie, Justice League. His script was ultimately not used, but Beall talked about how Justice League aims to be "a lot more fun" than Batman v Superman.
"It's much more fun, much poppier, than … I haven't seen Wonder Woman yet, but Batman vs Superman was a little more somber. But Justice League is a lot more fun," he said. "And I think that feels to me like the direction those movies are heading now."
Justice League, which is directed by Batman v Superman's Zack Snyder, opens in November. The next DC superhero movie is Wonder Woman, which comes out this summer.
