Apple unveiled the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro during a jam-packed livestream. As you'd imagine, the new iPhones have better screens, faster processors, and a slew of iterative design changes. Most notably, all iPhone 15 models will ditch Apple's Lightning ports for USB-C. And with the iPhone 15 Pro, Apple is continuing its gaming push with native support for several AAA games you'd normally expect to only find on console and PC, including the Resident Evil 4 remake, Resident Evil Village, and Assassin's Creed Mirage. In addition to the iPhone 15, Apple also revealed the new Apple Watch Series 9 and Ultra 2 smartwatches, which offer notable improvements to the iconic smartwatch.
All iPhone 15 models are available to preorder starting today, September 15. You won't have to wait long to get the new phone in your hands either, as the iPhone 15 is slated to release on September 22.
Here’s everything you need to know about iPhone 15 and Apple Watch preorders, including all the models up for grabs and when you’ll be able to get your hands on them.
The iPhone 15 uses a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR display, providing you with richer colors, thinner borders, and maxing out at 2,000 nits. Its display also benefits from ceramic shield technology, making it incredibly durable--allowing it to withstand the bumps and bruises it’ll see during daily use. It also gets a 48MP camera for enhanced photography skills, enabling it to capture some of the best pictures possible on a smartphone. Rounding out the package is the A16 Bionic chip for lightning-fast processing and a lag-free user experience.
Love everything about iPhone 15 but wish it was bigger? Then step up to the iPhone 15 Plus, which uses a 6.7-inch display.
The iPhone 15 starts at $799 (128GB) and launches on September 22. The iPhone 15 Plus launches the same day and costs $899 (128GB). You can also get up to $800 off when trading in an iPhone 11 or newer--making it surprisingly affordable to upgrade to the latest model.

The iPhone 15 Pro elevates the base iPhone 15 to new heights. With a titanium case, this model is both durable and incredibly light--in fact, it’s the lightest Pro model ever. It’ll be offered with a 6.1-inch display and 6.7-inch display for the Pro Max. One of the biggest changes to the iPhone 15 Pro is the Action Button, which can be customized to run shortcuts or simply toggle your phone to silent mode with the press of a button rather than the standard switch toggle. Best of all, it offers both visual feedback and haptic feedback when pressed. Other notable features include Pro Motion, Always on Display, and an updated Dynamic Island.
The blistering A17 Pro chip powers all the action, and it's the fastest silicon available on iPhone. According to Apple, it's so robust that it rivals some desktop PCs (thanks to 2 performance cores, four efficiency cores, and a neural engine with 16 cores). It also supports ray-tracing for gorgeous, in-game action, and the processor is powerful enough to run Resident Evil Village, Resident Evil 4 remake, and Assassin's Creed Mirage. Yes--the upcoming Assassin's Creed game is coming to iPhone early next year.
The iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max launch on September 22. The Pro will cost $999 (128GB), while the Pro Max will run you $1,199 (128GB). You can get up to $1,000 off when trading in an iPhone 11 Pro or newer.

The Apple Watch Series 9 features the S9 chip for enhanced performance, though its exterior design looks similar to the outgoing Series 8. This includes a square display, rotating crown, and swappable watchbands. Other cool features include the ability to locate your iPhone, see HomePod suggestions, and a 2,000 nits display--which is great for viewing outdoors.
Double Tap is arguably the biggest addition to the Apple Watch Series 9, allowing you to tap your thumb and index finger together to perform a variety of actions (such as answering a call or pausing your music). It's a cool feature, and it'll be interesting to see how developers make use of the new gesture.
The Apple Watch Series 9 costs $399 and will be available on September 22. The next-gen Apple Watch SE will also be available for $249.
