Konami had the latest Beatmania series on display at the AOU 2000 Amusement Show held today in Japan - Beatmania III, Beatmania II DX 3rd Style, and DrumMania 2nd Mix. Two alternate versions of Pop'N Music were also at the show. One of the alternate versions called Pop'N Music Ani-Melo features anime songs, while the other version called Pop'N Music Mickey Tunes features songs from Disney cartoons.
The game that drew the biggest crowd was Punchmania: Fist of the North Star. GameSpot News previously reported this arcade game, which features six punching pads located around the monitor, and players must punch the pads that correspond to the one displayed onscreen.
Konami also showcased GTI Club: Corso Italiano, which is the latest installment in the car racing series. The racetracks, as the titles suggest, are now based in Italy.
