Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is now in pre-production in the UK. The third Ant-Man movie arrives on February 17, 2023, and director Peyton Reed has released the first image from the set.

　　The image was tweeted by Reed, and it reveals that Quantumania is set to use the same technology as The Mandalorian, of which Reed also directed two episodes. The image is a reflection of Reed standing in front of a huge screen displaying a snowy backdrop. As Reed's tweet states, this screen is known as The Volume, and is used by ILM to produce realistic on-set backdrops while shooting, rather than the more traditional method of using green screen and adding backgrounds later. 　　Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania stars Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly as the two titular heroes, as well as Michael Douglas and Michelle Pfeiffer as Hank Pym and Jan van Dyne. Kathryn Newton will be joining the cast to play a more grown up version of Scott Lang's daughter Cassie, and Jonathan Majors will be playing the villainous Kang the Conqueror.

　　One cast member who won't be returning however is T.I., who played Dave in the first two Ant-Man movies. The actor and rapper and his wife, musician Tiny, have been accused of sexual abuse, kidnapping, assault, and harassment. The legal team for T.I. and Tiny have denied the claims.

　　While Quantumania is still a way off, there's plenty of MCU movies arriving over the next 12 months. July sees the release of the much-delayed Black Widow, with Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, The Eternals, and Spider-Man: No Way Home arriving in September, November, and December respectively. These will be followed by Thor: Love and Thunder in February 2022.
