The Pokémon Company International has announced that Season 24 of the iconic Pokémon Journeys animated series will premiere in select markets as early as this summer--with more premieres coming to additional markets through the end of 2021. It has not yet been announced when in these rolling release dates the United States will see a release for the upcoming season.
What has been announced is this season will Ash and Pikachu "continue to travel all over the world to research Pokémon for Cerise Laboratory. Along the way, Ash climbs higher in the World Coronation Series rankings, and Goh adds more Pokémon to his Pokédex in his quest to catch Mew." Meanwhile, "Chloe takes her first steps as a Pokémon Trainer when she meets a mysterious Eevee."
Season 24 is also part of a bigger celebration of 25 years of Pokémon, an anniversary that also has a dedicated website. As folks who are not even Pokémon fans likely remember, rapper Post Malone recently hosted a massive virtual concert back in February to celebrate Pokémon's 25th anniversary, which was hyped with his also releasing a cover of the 1995 Hootie & the Blowfish classic "Only Wanna Be With You." Quarantine has been a weird time.
