Animal Crossing: Import Famous Artwork With Free Museum-Curated Tools And QR Codes-October 2024
Oct 30, 2024 9:31 AM

Animal Crossing: New Horizons came at a fortuitous time for many players, creating a happy refuge during the outbreak of the coronavirus. Public spaces like museums have been impacted by the pandemic as well, and have put some of their efforts during the shutdowns into joining the Animal Crossing craze.

At least two museums--the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford, England and the Getty Museum in Los Angeles, California--have set up free tools allowing Animal Crossing players to import famous artwork into their games. Both sites have a selection of QR codes with some of their collection ready to go.

New Horizons is an especially customizable Animal Crossing game, letting you tweak your home and even your personal deserted island to your liking. The popularity of Animal Crossing may be contributing to a surge of Switch sales leading to shortages and high stock prices for Nintendo. The Earth Day event is set to start soon.
