The third release in 7th Level's Python series is Monty Python's The Meaning of Life. This time, players navigate through the game in 360-degree environments (7th Level calls it Python-patented Surround-o-Vision). The game features scenes from the film, as well as newly created artwork and recently recorded dialogue from John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, Terry Jones, and Michael Palin.
Gamers navigate through scenes from the film, interacting with the original characters, solving puzzles, watching clips, and playing games like You Don't Know John, Live Organ Transplants, Mealtime with Mr. Creosote, and the Hendys Conversation Game.
The game will also contain two other parts, which 7th Level will only say "are a quest through the theoretical and practical foundations of existence itself," and a confrontation "with moral dilemmas which require Solomonic wisdom to solve - and the answers have a profound effect on the outcome of the game."
The Meaning of Life is scheduled for a 1997 holiday season release.
