Yesterday, Amazon Luna suddenly launched in Italy, France, and Spain. The cloud gaming service is now expanding throughout Europe after becoming available in the U.S., United Kingdom, Germany, and Canada.

　　Amazon Luna continues its slow rollout rather than one big launch, with early access beginning in late 2020 to invited subscribers. Supported devices include Fire TV streaming media players and smart TVs, Fire Tablet, PC, Mac, Chromebook, iPhone, iPad, Android mobile devices, and select smart TVs from Samsung and LG.

　　The cloud gaming service is priced at €9.99 monthly, though Prime members have it included. However, that's just basic functionality with support for a few games like Fortnite, Trackmania, and other rotating titles (currently, the following games are available: RIDE 4, Q.U.B.E. 10th Anniversary, Get Packed: Couch Chaos, Tiny Lands, and Econdya). On top of those, Amazon Luna offers additional subscriptions to specific channels:

　　Luna+: Our largest and most diverse library, Luna+ includes games from across genres — action, adventure, classics, and more, featuring fan favorites including Team Sonic Racing, Spongebob: Battle for Bikini Bottom and Batman: Arkham Knight. Luna+ subscribers also have access to the same benefits on Luna as Prime members, including Fortnite and ability to play Ubisoft PC games they own on Luna. Luna+ is available for €9.99 per month. 　　Ubisoft+: Get access to the latest Ubisoft titles as soon as they release, including latest hit Assassin’s Creed Mirage and upcoming release Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. Subscribers also have access to broad catalog of games across beloved Ubisoft franchises such as Assassin’s Creed, Rainbow Six and Far Cry. Ubisoft+ subscription is available for €17.99 per month.

　　Jackbox Games: Only available on Luna, the €4.99 Jackbox Games monthly subscription includes popular party games like Quiplash, Trivia Murder Party, and Drawful.

　　Amazon Luna customers in Italy, France, and Spain can also now purchase the official controller at €39.99. The device is optimized for Luna technology, connecting directly to its servers via Wi-Fi to reduce latency. Moreover, Cloud Direct allows users to switch between devices (from mobile to Fire TV, for example) without setup or pairing.

　　In other Amazon news, the gaming division recently laid off around 180 employees, though Luna and the game development studios are unaffected. The job cuts were in the Crown Channel and Game Growth teams.
