Allied Assault Breakthrough announced
Allied Assault Breakthrough announced-October 2024
Oct 27, 2024 8:15 PM

Electronic Arts has today announced that the next expansion pack for Medal of Honor: Allied Assault is scheduled for release in the fall. Medal of Honor Allied Assault Breakthrough will see players assuming the role of a US Army sergeant named John Baker, and it will start at the battle for the Kasserine pass in North Africa.

From North Africa, players will race to capture Messina in Sicily before attempting to repel the German army at the historic battle of Monte Battaglia in the heart of Italy. Although specific details have not been released at this time, we're told that players will have access to an arsenal of weapons different from that in any previous Medal of Honor game as they fight both alone and alongside squadmates.

In addition to the single-player campaign, Medal of Honor Allied Assault Breakthrough will feature improved multiplayer support, including an all-new "liberation" gameplay mode. In liberation, defeated players will need to be rescued by surviving teammates before they can continue playing. Players will also have access to a number of new abilities in the multiplayer game, including the ability to drive tanks, call in artillery strikes, or defuse mines. All the multiplayer modes in Medal of Honor Allied Assault Breakthrough will allow players to sign up with the Americans, Italians, British, or Germans.

Medal of Honor Allied Assault Breakthrough is currently scheduled for release in the fall. We hope to bring you more information on the game when we report live from the E3 show floor on May 14-16.
