Sony Online Entertainment plans to add two new variants of Jeopardy to its game show offerings on its Station web site.
The first, Jeopardy! 2001 Online, is slated for launch on January 19. Questions (or perhaps that should be answers) in this game are based on the world of technology - everything from inventions to technoculture - with category names such as Bots, Netspeak, and Web Sites of the Rich and Famous.
For sports fans, Sports Jeopardy! will test participants' sports knowledge, from baseball to extreme sports to NASCAR, with categories such as March Madness, Monday Night Football, and Off The Field. Sports Jeopardy! is set to launch on the Station on February 8.
Both games are single-player games, though players will be able to measure their success rates against other players. The Station does feature multiplayer versions of Jeopardy! as well as Wheel of Fortune.
