Cloud 9's analyst Alex Penn announced today via Twitter that he has been released from the Cloud 9 organization. Shortly afterwards an article on lolesports.com announced that Dan Dihn, older brother to Team SoloMid (TSM) owner "Reginald" Dihn, would be taking his place.
I am no longer a part of the Cloud 9 team and will be heading back to Austin on Wednesday to spend time with family and work on my next move

In the lolesports.com article Cloud 9 owner Jack Etienne explained the staff change by commenting, "He [Dihn] understands the game at a level that no other analyst I’ve talked to does."
When pressed by Riot for a statement on the situation Penn commented, "Thanks to Cloud 9 for the opportunity for me to play a support role for the best North American League of Legends team of 2013 and I wish them the best going into IEM Cologne and the 2014 LCS season. I plan to use the knowledge gained in preparation, team dynamics, marketing, and management to continue moving forward in the LoL eSports scene for 2014, whether that be in a team management, content creation, operations, or a sponsorship marketing role."
