Age of Kings Gets Dethroned
Age of Kings Gets Dethroned-October 2024
Oct 28, 2024 12:19 PM

Even though it was propelled by strong sales throughout the summer months, Hasbro Interactive/MicroProse's Roller Coaster Tycoon never became a number-one seller on PC Data's Top Ten Hits List - until last week, that is. The latest figures from PC Data are back, and for the week ending Nov. 13, Roller Coaster Tycoon is the top-selling PC game in the US. It ousts Age of Empires II, which drops to second place.

Deer Hunter III from GT Interactive and Activision's Cabela's Big Game Hunter 3 dropped to third and fifth place, respectively after threatening to jump to first place for weeks. NovaLogic debuted its voxel-driven Delta Force 2 at fourth place, while SimTheme Park from EA made an appearance at sixth place. Not surprisingly, even the PC segment isn't immune to Pokemon fever, as Mattel's Pokemon Studio Blue and Red print software popped onto the PC Data list at seventh and eighth place, respectively.

The rest of this week's top sellers are listed below:

  Rank / Title / Publisher / Price1 / Roller Coaster Tycoon / Hasbro Interactive / US$292 / Age of Empires II: Age Of Kings / Microsoft / $463 / Deer Hunter III / GT Interactive / $194 / Delta Force 2 / NovaLogic / $325 / Cabela's Big Game Hunter 3 / Activision / $196 / SimTheme Park / Electronic Arts / $327 / Pokemon Studio Blue / Mattel Interactive / $248 / Pokemon Studio Red / Mattel Interactive / $249 / Starcraft / Havas Interactive / $3310 / Tonka Construction 2 / Hasbro Interactive / $29
