Professional wrestler and current one-half of the AEW Tag Team Champions Cash Wheeler (real name Daniel Wheeler) appeared in an Orlando, Florida court Friday, after being arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a firearm.
According to Orange County, Florida court records shared by the Orlando Sentinel, a warrant was issued for Wheeler's arrest on July 28 for an offense alleged to have taken place the previous day. His attorneys issued a "not-guilty" plea on August 3. Wheeler waived appearing at a pre-trial conference. His first in-court appearance was Friday.

The wrestling promotion replied to numerous outlets, including Fightful, with the same statement: "AEW has been made aware of the charge, and we are closely monitoring the situation. He is fully cooperating with local authorities." The alleged incident is believed to have taken place where Wheeler flashed a gun. There was no physical altercation and he did not know the other party. The tag team champion last appeared on AEW Collision Saturday, August 12 in a tag team match with his FTR partner Dax Harwood and CM Punk.
The wrestler's arrest comes at an interesting time as he's set to face off in the company's biggest show ever, All In at London's Wembley Stadium, in front of over 80,000 fans. As of press time, there have been no travel restrictions put on the champion at this point.
Wheeler was set to wrestle with Harwood in one of All In's marquee matches against Matt and Nick Jackson, the Young Bucks for the AEW Tag Team Championship.
AEW All In takes place on Sunday, August 27, and can be watched on pay-per-view.
