On Thursday, Activision announced that it has signed nine professional skateboards and their signature styles to use in the company's upcoming PlayStation game, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater.
Gamers will get to check out the tricks and stylin' of world-renowned skaters like Bob Burnquist, Kareem Campbell, Rune Glifberg, Bucky Lasek, Chad Muska, Andrew Reynolds, Geoff Rowley, Jamie Thomas, and the games namesake - Tony Hawk.
The game, being developed by Neversoft Entertainment, will feature a new trick and combo system that will let players perform hundreds of combinations of tricks and stunts without the fear of cracking your head open in real life. Levels will feature secret areas, shortcuts, and hard-to-reach spots, and will take place in malls, schools, downtown, and even on the freeway.
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater is scheduled to ship sometime this fall.
