Acclaim announced today that it will publish a game based on the celebrated Ducati line of motorcycles. Currently in development by Attention to Detail, the game features two main modes - Ducati quick race and Ducati life. Quick race is an arcade-like mode that rewards you with new bikes as you progress through the game. Ducati life focuses more on the simulation aspects of racing by making you earn money to purchase additional bikes or to enter more races. Each bike you purchase can then be tweaked for optimal performance during a specific race. There's also a showroom that includes 1950s and present-day Ducati motorcycles.
Other features include the ability to challenge a friend to a race. Winning the race means you get your opponent's bike - but if you lose, you leave the race without a motorcycle. Ducati is currently scheduled for a Q4 2000 release on the PC, Dreamcast, and PlayStation.
