Tuesday, Acclaim Entertainment reported its first-quarter 1999 results for the period ending Nov. 30, 1998.
Net revenues for the quarter were up 14 percent to $104.8 million compared with last year's US$92.3 million. Net earnings for the quarter totaled $10.3 million, up from last year's first-quarter $8 million result. Gross revenues by platform broke down to 60 percent Nintendo 64, 31 percent PlayStation, 5 percent PC, and 4 percent on portables and other platforms. Acclaim cites strong demand for NFL Quarterback Club '99 and WWF War Zone as the reason for its increase in profit.
