Lucasfilm is in discussions with Fleabag actress Phoebe Waller-Bridge to play a "key" role in the upcoming Star Wars Han Solo film, according to Variety.
This would be a "CGI-driven performance," the site said. The unnamed character is described as being not unlike other supporting but important ones like Chewbacca, C-3PO, and K-2SO.
Waller-Bridge also had parts in Broadchurch, The Iron Lady, and Crashing. Additionally, she will be in the upcoming biopic of Winnie the Pooh author AA Milne.
Lucasfilm has not yet officially announced Waller-Bridge for the untitled Han Solo movie, nor do we know what other actors might be in discussions to play the part.
The Han Solo movie is slated to come out in May 2018. It stars Alden Ehrenreich as Solo, alongside Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian. Woody Harrelson (Hunger Games) and Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones) also have parts in the movie, though we don't know who they are playing. The film is directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller, who made The Lego Movie and the new Jump Street films.
The next Star Wars movie is this December's Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
