The first title for Typhoon Games, an up-and-coming development team under 505 Games' publishing wing, has been announced at The Game Awards. Titled Journey to the Savage Planet, this adventure game opens with a brief thematic trailer and not much more content revealed quite yet.
Typhoon Studios represents a pedigree of developers that come from a diverse range of AAA studios. According to co-founder Reid Schneider, their team "came from larger companies including Ubisoft, Eidos, and WB games to embark on this indie game adventure." Their upcoming Journey to the Savage Planet marks the first World Premiere announcement at The Game Awards, so I'm sure that having all eyes on their reveal trailer can hopefully get some excitement building before its release in 2019.
Aside from key art, a website that hasn't quite gone up as of the time of this posting and The Game Awards' reveal trailer, there's still plenty left unknown for this space adventure game. Whatever Journey to the Savage Planet turns out to be, I'm curious to see just what has yet to come.
Journey to the Savage Planet is currently slated to release in 2019 across PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
