Last month Nintendo hosted events in Europe and America simultaneously, detailing the launch of the Nintendo 3DS in those regions. While Australia usually aligns with PAL markets, details on the Australian launch of the device were noticeably absent from the briefings.
That all changed tonight at the official unveiling of the Nintendo 3DS. Being released on March 31, Nintendo's stereoscopic handheld console will be available for A$349.95 and will be released alongside several launch titles. Games that will be available on day one include Nintendogs + Cats, Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition, Ridge Racer, and more. For the full list of launch titles, check out our Nintendo 3DS launch centre.
When it launches on March 31, 2011, the Nintendo 3DS will be available in two different colour variations: Aqua Blue and Cosmic Black.
In Nintendo's home country of Japan, the Nintendo 3DS retails for ¥25,000 ($299), while it will sell for $250 in the United States and £229 in the UK.
